Message Review

Jesus Christ was born into the world to be God with us, but He is no longer physically present. When He left, He sent the Holy Spirit to be God with us until His return. One reason Jesus sent the Holy Spirit is to Lead us.

Main Point: The more we want to follow, the more the Holy Spirit will lead.

  • Read John 15:26 and John 16:12-15 as a group.

    • Why did Jesus say He was sending the Holy Spirit?

    • What does that mean for people who have put their faith in Jesus?

  • How does the Holy Spirit guide, speak to, and lead us?

  • Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit leading you? If so, when and how did you know it was Him leading you? 

  • How do we position ourselves to feel and hear the Holy Spirit?

  • How are you positioning yourself to hear and feel the Holy Spirit leading you?  In what ways may you not be positioning yourself? 

  • Ronnie said the more we want to follow Jesus, the more the Holy Spirit will lead.  What does it mean to want to follow Jesus?  What does wanting to follow Jesus have to do with when, how, and why the Holy Spirit leads us?

  • If we think the Holy Spirit is leading us, how can we determine whether it is actually Him or not

  • How is the Holy Spirit leading you today? What is the next step you need to take to follow Him?
