Message Review

Jesus doesn’t call us to be believers or behavers.  He invites us to be His followers.  The end goal of following Jesus is extraordinary faith, trust, and confidence in God.

    • How have you believed this is the end goal of following Jesus, which shaped your faith journey?

  • On Sunday, we discovered that the end goal of following Jesus is extraordinary faith in God. 

    • What does it mean and look like to have extraordinary faith in God?

    • If it’s true that this is the end goal of following Jesus, then why?

  • Read Matthew 8:5-10 as a group.

    • What was Jesus amazed by?

    • Why do you think Jesus was amazed by this?

    • What do you think was different about the centurion’s faith than everyone else’s?

  • Read Romans 8:28-39 as a group.

    • What words or phrases stick out to you?

    • What in this passage is easy for you to trust God with? 

    • What is hard for you to trust God with?

  • Ronnie said that what you fear is where God wants you to grow in your trust in Him and where Jesus is inviting you to follow Him. 

    • What do you fear? 

    • How is that fear affecting you and/or your relationship with Jesus?

    • How might that fear direct your life and prevent you from following Jesus?

  • What would you do in that fear if you were fully confident that God was with you?

  • What is Jesus inviting you to do to “Follow Me” to overwhelm and overcome what you fear?
