Message Review
Humans desire to have real, authentic, intimate, and meaningful connections with people. Despite living in a world that is more “connected” than ever before, we seem to be more disconnected from having these types of relationships than ever before. One of the reasons for this feeling of disconnection is that we are constantly distracted. To achieve true relational connection, we must be fully present where our feet are.
Main Point | To experience true relational connection we must be where our feet are.

Discussion Questions
What were your initial thoughts or takeaways from the sermon and why?
What words/phrases would you to describe having a true relational connection with someone? Do you desire to experience that more?
What are some possible reasons why so many people feel disconnected from having a true relational connection with those closest to them?
Read Luke 10:39-40 again with your group. What motivated Mary to sit at Jesus’ feet? What caused Martha to not? When it comes to relationally connecting with Jesus and those closest to you, are you interacting more like Mary or Martha?
Read Luke 10:41-42 again with your group. What is the “one thing” Jesus was referring to? How should that impact what we do with anything that would distract us from it?
Pastor Ronnie made the point that “To experience true relational connection with Jesus or anyone else, we must be fully present where our feet are.” What does this phrase mean in your words? How have you personally experienced that?
Pastor Ronnie also said, “We can’t possibly experience true relational connection if we’re living in a constant state of distraction, and what’s causing us to live in a constant state of distraction are the devices in our hands that we’re constantly attached to.” Do you believe this statement to be true? Why or why not?
Is the device in your hand preventing you from being fully present when you’re with people? How so?
In what ways can you begin to practice a sacred pause? How can the group help you with this in the future?
