Message Review
It is important to express gratitude because failing to do so communicates ingratitude, whether we intend it or not. Unexpressed gratitude can have negative effects on our relationships with others, ourselves, and even our relationship with God. Ingratitude may be a result of an inflated sense of self or pride within us. Therefore, we must choose to be grateful every day by deciding who and what we are grateful for and expressing our gratitude to them.
Main Point: Unexpressed gratitude communicates ingratitude.
Scripture References: Luke 17:11-19

What areas of your life are impacted by not expressing gratitude, and why is this important?
Read Luke 17:15-16 again as a group. Would you have been like the one Samaritan who came back to show gratitude to Jesus or more like the others who didn't? Why?
Why does the feeling that we are entitled to something make us lose our sense of gratitude?
Read Luke 17:17-19 again as a group. "What is the main idea that Jesus was trying to convey in this particular passage?”
Unexpressed gratitude communicates ingratitude. Why is it important to express gratitude when we assume others know we are grateful?
What areas of your life can be affected by expressing gratitude when you feeling grateful?
Why do you think Ingratitude may indicate an inflated view of self?
Take a moment to reflect on the people in your life for whom you are grateful and the things you are grateful to God for. As you conclude your group, express your gratitude towards these individuals and things. Finally, end with a prayer of gratitude. (IDEA: have Gratitude by Brandon Lakes playing during this time)
