Message Review
Our body needs everybody to take extreme ownership of the health of our body, in order for us to live as the body of Christ. The health of our body impacts us living as a fully functioning body of Jesus Christ. As members of the body of Jesus Christ, you and me are responsible for the health of we. Therefore, we all must take Extreme Ownership of everything that impacts our body’s health. Three Key Elements that make up a healthy body of Jesus Christ are, Unity with one another, Care for on another and Pursuing Jesus together. We take extreme ownership of the health of our body by being engaged in a smaller community within our body. At Relevant those are small groups for Relevant Kids, Middle School and High School and T-Life Groups for college age and adults.
Main Point | You and me are responsible for the health of WE.
Scripture References | John 17:20-23; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Galatians 6:2; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Peter 2:9-10
Challenge Question | How is Jesus calling you to take extreme ownership of the health of our body?
Questions
Pastor Ronnie talked about how the country that we live is so individualistic and all about me, why do you think our culture has gotten that way?
Pastor Ronnie also stated that the me mentality has seeped into how we view Jesus and has also made us look at the church ME filter. How have you seen this happen?
Read John 17:20-23: Why is it vital for there to be unity in the body of Christ?
Read 1 Peter 2: 9-10. What does this passage have to say about us being the people of God? What does that mean for us?
Each of us can affect WE both positively and negatively. You and I have an enormous influence either way. What are some ways we can affect this body either positively or negatively?
Pastor Ronnie gave us three key elements for a healthy body.
1. Unity with One Another
2. Care for One Another
3. Pursuing Jesus Together.
Why is each element so important when it comes to, WE over ME.
Application
This week take Extreme Ownership by being engaged in a T-Life Group AND being fully committed to the people in your group by creating unity with one another, care for one another, and pursuing JC together. Find one next step you can take this week towards being a fully committed member of your group.
Verse to Remember:
1 Peter 2:9-10: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
