Message Review

Your story is the most powerful tool you have. Crossing the line of sharing your story is one of the most impactful things you can do. When you share your story, you’re sharing Jesus’ story too.

Main Point | The most impactful words you can share is your transformation story.

Scripture References | 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 9:1-25, 1 Peter 3:15

Challenge Question | Are you prepared to share your transformation story?

Questions

  • Our ultimate purpose as Jesus’ followers is to carry on Jesus’ mission of reaching people for Jesus. Do you believe this? Explain.

  • In his message, Pastor Ronnie said, “reaching people for Jesus requires crossing the line of sharing the good news of Jesus with our words. How does this make you feel? What is the good news of Jesus?

  • Read 2 Corinthians 5:17. What is Paul referring to when he uses the terms “old” and “new?” Who is he referring to?

  • 1 Peter 3:15. What does Peter mean when he talks about the “hope that you have?” Why should someone “be prepared” to provide an answer? When might this practically happen?

  • If someone were to come up to you today and ask you to share why you follow Jesus, what would you say?

Next Step Challenge

The most impactful words you can share is your transformation story. Problem is, many don’t know how. Ronnie provided two next steps. 1) Think through your story using the 3 Handle Approach tool and 2) Practice sharing your story with someone who is a follower of Jesus. If you are in a group, take time this week to share your story with the others.
