Message Review  

It is the parents’ primary responsibility to lead their kids toward a relationship with Jesus. When you raise children, you should parent them with the end in mind. You are not raising children, you are raising future adults. The most important thing to God for your children is for them to have a relationship with him through Jesus Christ, so he can transform them and so they can experience the life only he can give.  

Main Point | Parents are primarily responsible for leading their children toward Jesus.

Challenge Question  

  • When it comes to your child’s faith, what destination do you want them to arrive at? 

  • What should you begin to prioritize to lead our child toward Jesus? 

Questions

What is your first thought when you hear “parenting with the end in mind?” 

  • Is it relieving or stressful to know you are the primary influence to point your children towards Jesus?  

  • Pastor Ronnie stated, “you can’t outsource the faith of your children to the church”. What are your thoughts about that statement?  

  • Read Deuteronomy 6:7-9, in what ways do you currently impress on your children what is important in life? Secondly what else should you be doing to impress on your children what is important in life?  

Pastor Ronnie gave four ways that we can lead our children towards Jesus below: 

  • Prioritize environments the expose them to Practical Biblical teaching.  

  • Prioritize other influential voices in their lives. 

  • Prioritize them having a ministry of their own. 

  • Prioritize having spiritual conversations with them. 

  • What rhythms do you want to implement to help point your kids towards Jesus? 

  • Who are the other influential voices in your children’s life? Who do you want those voices to be?  

  • Pastor Ronnie said the most important thing we can focus on is our relationship with Jesus. What rhythms do you need to implement to help your relationship with Jesus grow?  

Application

What destination do you want your kids to end up at regarding Faith in Jesus? What can you do this week to help point them in that direction?
