Message Review
We were created for more than this world, and we all have a desire to be “home” but how do we get there? Jesus said that He alone is the way back to us experiencing what we were created for.
Main Point | Jesus being the only way is not meant to exclude anyone but to invite everyone.
Scripture References | John 14:1-6, Isaiah 64:6
Challenge Question | Are you following your way or THE way?
Questions
What matters most to you in this life, or what do you hope most to get out of this life?
What do you believe about truth?
Read John 14:6. Jesus says that He is the truth. Notice that He isn’t just telling us the truth, but that He himself IS the truth. What does Jesus mean by that?
If Jesus is THE truth, what should that mean for the world? What does that mean for you personally?
Read John 14:6 again. Which of these three words (way, truth, life) about Jesus particularly resonate with you or challenges you? Why?
In that passage, Jesus says that He is the way. The way to what? What happens if someone doesn’t go His way?
Think about your own life and all of the decisions you make every day. When was a time you chose to go your own way instead of Jesus’ way? How did that turn out? How did that affect your life?
Next Step Challenge
Take a moment to evaluate your life, where it has been, where you want to go, and where it is right now. Are you following your way or THE way? If Jesus were to show you where you were not following him, what would he point out? Now it’s up to you. What do you need to do? What would stop you?
