Message Review

What if the reason our prayers aren’t answered is because we have issues of unforgiveness between us and God along with us and others? When we pray for forgiveness it transforms our hearts. It restores our relationship with our Heavenly Father and allows us to forgive others in the way He forgave us.

Main Point: Praying for forgiveness works...on YOU.

Scripture References: Matthew 6:12, Matthew 6:14-15, Ephesians 4:31-32

Challenge Question: What do you need to ask your Heavenly Father forgiveness for? Who do you need to forgive?

Questions

  • Is there something that has stopped you in the past or is currently stopping you from praying? If so why?

  • When we sin why does God call it a debt?

  • Why is it important for us to forgive others in the way Christ first forgave us?

  • If there is someone in your life you feel you need to forgive, and you haven’t yet, what is holding you back?

  • Are there “chains” that Ronnie spoke of, in your life, that are binding you because of unforgiveness? What’s a next step you can take in removing those chains?

Next Step

Spend a few moments each day this week identifying sin you personally need forgiveness for and then work through forgiving others that may have sinned against you.
