Message Review

At one time or another, we’ve all been told we should pray. Many do, many don’t know how, and many have given up. Why do we pray anyway? How should we pray? Jesus’s disciples had the exact same question.

Main Point: When we pray, where we pray, and why we pray are important.

Scripture References: Matthew 6:6, Matthew 6:5-13, Luke 11:1

Challenge Question: When do you pray? Where do you pray? Why do you pray?

Questions

  • What first thoughts come to mind when you think about prayer? How do you feel about it?

  • Were you taught specific prayers as a child? What were they? What was your experience with prayer?

  • What do your prayers look like now? Do you pray? When and where? How often?

  • The ultimate reward of prayer is relationally connecting to our Heavenly Father. How do you interact with this statement?

  • Read Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus tells the disciples how to pray. What stands out to you in this passage? What word or phrase resonates with you the most? With that in mind, refer to the Next Step below.

Next Step

You may also stop by The Relevant Center anytime Monday thru Thursday from 9am to 5pm to pick up a physical copy or simply return next week.
