About the Group
In our men's group, we tackle the challenges adult men face in the world; addictions, relationship issues, workplace problems, etc. We discuss them all. Many times we use the Sunday message from Relevant to help each other grow closer to God and one another. Since we all have blind spots, blind spots that prevent us from growing, group members are encouraged to gracefully call out other's blind spots. We hold each other accountable to grow. But we also have fun outside of normal group meetings, playing softball, dodgeball and hanging out at places like Copacabana for cigars for those who enjoy that. At any rate, we stick closely together in order to keep moving forward together.
About the Leader
I'm a Dad with two beautiful daughters born in 2010 and 2012. I've been married to my wonderful and beautiful wife Laura since 2008. Laura and I were not followers of Jesus when we started attending Relevant. I investigated Jesus and finally realized that Jesus died, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven and HE is the leader of my life and forgiver of my sins. Laura and I have struggled in our marriage but because of him, the help of others in our community, and our hard work, our marriage is renewed.
What happens next if I join the group?
Once you register for the group (by clicking the “Join Group” button below), you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that we received your registration. In the next couple of days, your new group leader will reach out with some preliminary details about the location, time, and first group meeting.
At the first group meeting you’ll get to know others in your group and hear more about what to expect moving forward. If you decide the group is a good fit for you, great! If not, you can discretely let the group leader know and we’ll help you find a different group.
After a few months of being in the group you’ll have the opportunity to reevaluate if the group is a good fit for you and either continue with the group or step out of the group if desired. So by joining a group, you’re not making a long-term commitment.
If you have any questions, email us at groups@relevantcommunity.org.
