Our ultimate purpose as Jesus’ followers is to carry on Jesus’ mission. In order for us to do this, we must accept His simple invitation to follow Him and allow Him to transform us into everything He created us to be. When we live for Jesus’ mission, we experience His awesome power, and we will impact the world for Him.
Discussion Questions
Who is one person who has impacted you most?
Read 2 Corinthians 5:17-19. In what ways have you been made new in Christ?
Read 2 Corinthians 5:20. Have you ever considered yourself an ambassador for Christ? Who was the ambassador that shared the Gospel with you? How did that impact your life?
Who are you relationally investing in today? How’s it going?
What next step will you take to impact the world for Jesus?
Next Step Challenge
Make an impact list of 5 people who don’t know Jesus. Ask yourself, “How can I share Jesus’ love with them or show love to them today?” Commit to pray for them, relationally invest in them, and invite them into your life and Relevant. Trust God with how He wants to use you and be willing to obey Him. Watch Him work in and through you to impact the people on your list.
This Weeks Prayer Focus:
God, I want to be everything you created me to be. I ask that you’d show me who needs you in my life. Help me to show your great love to them even when it’s hard. I ask that you’d give me the words to speak to them, the boldness to not be afraid, the wisdom to know how to love them, and that you’d open up their hearts to know you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
