Ice Breaker: Who is your best friend? What makes your friendship unique?

Message Recap

Our heavenly Father has one desire for us- to transform us into everything He created us to be. But we weren’t meant to do this alone. Connecting in authentic relationships within the church is vital to continually be transformed into everything God created us to be, because our lives were not meant to be lived in isolation.

Discussion Questions

  1. Think about a time when you went through something transformative. Who was there for you encouraging you, not letting you quit, cheering you on, etc.?

  2. Every person in your life is pushing you closer to Jesus or away from Jesus. Who are those people in your life?

  3. Read John 15:9-10. How does Jesus describe love?

  4. Pastor Ronnie said on Sunday, “Authentic relationships are difficult to find and flourish because we are broken people, have limited time, and our enemy tricks us into isolation.” Which relationships do you need to pursue and not give up? How do you maintain your authentic relationships?

  5. What next steps will you take to connect in authentic relationships within Relevant?

 Next Step Challenge

Our lives are not transformed in isolation. This week, connect with those in your life who are pushing you toward Jesus. Tell them you are thankful for them. Encourage and connect with them by being available, intentional, sacrificially loving them, and being committed. Pray for them on the phone or when you are together in person.

This Weeks Prayer Focus:

Lord, I thank you that you’ve given us each other. Thank you that this is not a “me” thing, but a “we” thing. Help me to follow you by loving sacrificially the people around me, and transform me into everything you created me to be.
