While the world lives in fear during this time, Christ-followers must look to the peace and power that God provides and be living the hope found in Him. Faith can be an antidote to fear. We are promised in God’s Word that He is faithful and will protect us. God wants us to let go of fear and to live life to the fullest as John 10:10 (NIV) states: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
8 Promises from the Bible Regarding Fear
Remember these promises from the Scripture when you are overcome by fear and worry. Use them for protection to remember who God is and the protection He has promised you.
Spring is an expression of God speaking through His magnificent creations to renovate fear into new hope. There is revelation in His truth and power which takes away fear and brings forth rejuvenation and transformation.
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. – 2 Thessalonians 3:3 (NIV)
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. – 1 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. – Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. – 1 John 4:18 (NIV)

Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven. – Psalm 85:11 (NIV)
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. – Psalm 9:10 (NIV)
Pray for New Growth & Flourishing
We can compare the old English Proverb: “March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers" to our prayer life. When we get intentional with prayer there is much power and it can bring forth “New Growth and Flourishing”, just as spring brings on new life from the dead of winter.
I am reminded that trust doesn’t sprout in the absence of doubt. It grows in the presence of relationship. We need to invite Christ to search our hearts and renew our spirt. Let Him prepare us as seeds in the spring, to grow us strong, nourish us and protect us with His truth, so that we can break through the dirt, sprouting us into healthy flowers so we can radiate his glory throughout our time on this earth.
Trust in His Promises, Thank Him – Be the Church and Unleash the Power of Prayer
The Apostle Paul was often prevented from meeting with churches and believers in-person. This did not stop him from writing to fellow believers or praying for them from where he was. In the midst of fear and uncertainty, Christ-followers have a tremendous opportunity to be the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16). Imagine becoming the church and making an impact with our light during this trying season. The greatest testimony of Christ’s love is Christ-followers who love the world the way Christ does (John 3:16, 1 John 4:19). By our love, the world will know we are His.
Thank you Lord for all the reminders you give us in this spring season. His Word says He gives new life. As in Revelation 21:5 (NIV), He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Now is the time for Christ’s followers to truly go on the offensive and unleash the power of prayer.
