July Safe Haven Update

Relevant -- Here’s an update and some ways that we can be praying for our friends at Safe Haven Orphanage! Thank you for continuing to support these precious children and amazing staff!

Pictured above: This past month the Safe Haven Orphanage family grew, as Tasanee took in 3 new kids. While it is heartbreaking that such young children face life as orphans, it is a blessing to know they are under the care and supervision of Tasanee, part of a big family of brothers and sisters at Safe Haven, and that their needs will be provided for, along with opportunities for education and a future they might not have had otherwise.

A Note From Tasanee

Relevant,

Thank you very much for your love and your kindness. I am very grateful for you and I want you to know how important you are to the Safe Haven Orphanage. You give all the children a better life. I appreciate your great support and commitment to Safe Haven--I couldn’t do all the good work I’m able to without you. Right now, I need you to pray. Some of the children got malaria and Sunday got influenza, and I have not slept much in 3 days. My son Phon had an accident playing soccer and broke his shoulder. One of the children with malaria had an allergic reaction to the medication he was given. Because of all of this, I have been busy going back and forth from the hospital. I am tired and my back is hurting again. This past month has been very busy with the storm, the damage to the boys’ dorm and bath house. I have many things to repair. Can you pray for me? Thank you for everything you do for me and for the children.

Lots of love,

Tasanee

Prayer Requests

As mentioned in her note, let’s be praying for:

  • Tasanee: for the rest she needs, for her back to be feeling better again, and for energy and strength to do all the work that she needs to get done.
  • The children who are sick: for healing for Sunday who is sick with influenza and for the children who have malaria, as well as physical and spiritual protection and good health for all of the children.
  • Phon (Tasanee’s son and one of the staff members): for healing for his broken shoulder, for others to step up and share in his responsibilities while he is recovering.
  • The ability to quickly complete the needed structural repairs to the boys’ dorm and bath house caused by the storms in June.

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”(Philippians 1:3-6)
