We believe church is supposed to be exciting, challenging, and relevant; a place where people connect with God, no matter where they are in life. This is what we strive to achieve at our worship services. However, we know it can be a little unnerving to step into a new, unfamiliar environment, especially when you’re not exactly sure what to expect. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions to give you a picture of what Sundays at Relevant look like.

What will the worship service be like?
We don’t believe people should be bored at church…and you won’t be at Relevant. Our worship services are fun and relaxed, but intentional and focused. Through Biblically relevant messages, powerful music, times of prayer and reflection, creative media, and art, we present the unchanging truths of the Bible in a way that is easy to understand and relevant to your life, even if you’ve never been to church before. You may feel challenged, convicted, inspired, happy, energized, or motivated – but our goal in everything we do is for your heart to be transformed.

What does the pastor talk about?
Sermons at Relevant are always practical in nature. We believe God wants to be involved in our everyday lives, so we present the truths of the Bible in a way that’s easy to understand without watering it down.

What kind of music is there?
If you’re wondering, “do you have an organ and a choir, drums and guitars?” you can expect the latter. However, the worship band is not here to entertain, but to lead you in worshipping God through song.

Will there be food?
Believe it or not, we get this question a lot. The short answer – YES! In case you didn’t have time to eat breakfast, free coffee and donuts will be provided.

What should I wear?
Clean underwear in case you get in an accident (remember what mom told you). There is no dress code at Relevant, so dress comfortably. Pastor Ronnie usually wears jeans, if that helps.

How long does service last?
We promise you won’t be here all day. Services usually last a little over an hour.

What if I'm not used to going to church?
You are the reason we started Relevant! Our vision is to be a place for those who are curious about God, but have never felt comfortable in church; a place for people to have their questions answered and the longings of their heats filled; a place where you can learn, apply, and wrestle with who God is and how He relates to you. We are committed to being relevant to all people, no matter where you are in life.

Do you have anything for my kids during the service?
