August Safe Haven Update
August 12, 2017 by Relevant Community

What a privilege it is to be able to pray for and financially support Safe Haven Orphanage. Relevant, thank you for continuing to invest your hearts and give generously to our friends on the Thai/Burma border! Together, we are impacting the lives of the children and staff at Safe Haven.

Serving their community

The children and Tasanee recently spent time serving their community alongside soldiers in the Thai military in the nearby village of Cha Wang. Tasanee stresses the importance of helping and serving others to all of her children.

Rice Farming

Tasanee helped with planting rice at a rice farm. In Thailand, rice is typically planted in the wet months of June or July and harvested between November and January.

A Note From Tasanee

I was having a problem with my back and shoulder and my body felt painful moving. But now I am feeling better because of all your prayers and all of my children praying for me every day. Relevant Community Church, I would love to thank you for your love and kindness and for supporting Safe Haven. Because of your generosity, you are helping save children’s lives. You do many good things for Safe Haven and your financial support makes it possible for Safe Haven to help other children as well. The Bible tells us to love others as we love ourselves. At Safe Haven, we all remember you in our prayers always. May the Good Lord bless you always.

Lots of love,

Prayer Requests

– Praise God for healing. Last month, we prayed for two-year-old Sunday who was hospitalized with pneumonia. A few days later, he was sent home from the hospital and is doing much better. Tasanee’s son Phon also was hospitalized in late July, but is back working at the orphanage and doing well.

Pray for Tasanee. Tasanee has been sick in the summer months, feeling low energy, not sleeping well, and dealing with ongoing shoulder and back pain. In her note, she shared that she has been feeling better. Pray that God continues to bring healing to her body, provides her with good rest, and gives her strength to sustain her.

Pray for the children and staff of Safe Haven. Praise God for the impact Tasanee, her staff, and children are having, including serving the village of Cha Wang where there is flooding because of rainy season. Pray for God’s protection over them, their health, and safety.

Pray for the October Safe Haven trip. We’re excited as plans continue to move forward for the team that will be traveling to Safe Haven in October. Pray for the partnership that is being established with the solar panel company in Thailand. The team will be working with this company to install solar panels to provide stable electricity to the buildings at Safe Haven. Pray for God’s preparation of each of the hearts of the team members (Jerry Rainey, Matt Anderson, Mark Gusse, Al Renner, Jack Uleman, and Josh Uleman) and His provision for all of the funds needed for the solar panel project.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.” (Hebrews 1:3a)
